| A 10 week Chinese GCSE language course for children aged 11 and over, on Mondays from 4.30pm-5.30pm, Class times are 4.30-5.30, from 12 January to 23 March 2026 inclusive. The class takes place at the Confucius Institute, Lancaster University. The teacher has a DBS. There are options to register for one, two or three terms. |
| This course is for learners with the following knowledge of Chinese language and characters: Upper beginners level listening and speaking Mandarin (i.e. understanding and managing daily life conversations is essential.) Lower beginners level in reading and writing Chinese characters (about HSK 1 Level). Learners of simplified or traditional Chinese characters are all welcome. Term 1 dates are: 29 September - 8 December 2025, excluding 29 October. Term 2 dates are: Monday 12th January 2026 – Monday 23rd March 2026 inclusive, except for Monday 16th February which is half term. Term 3 dates are: Monday 13th April – Monday 13th July with no classes on Monday 25th May for half-term or on Monday 4th May for Bank Holiday. |
