Day trip to Lake District: Acorn Bank and Keswick
Saturday 14th June
Open to students and staff from all colleges.
Take a break from campus and Lancaster, with a stop in the morning at Acorn Bank, with a watermill, gardens, and grand hall (which is also a bookshop) to explore. Then we move on to the lovely town of Keswick – sitting on the edge of Derwentwater, with lots to see and do in any weather.
£21 per person.
You will receive an automatic receipt of payment from the e-store – this is your ticket.
During office hours (9am-3pm Monday-Friday), you will also be sent an email containing confirmation of the itinerary. If you do not receive an email from [email protected], then it is probably in your junk mail/spam folder. This information will also be available on the teams group, student portal, and libcal for you to view at any time – so don’t worry.
Itinerary:
08:45 - Town pickup (South Road, south bound side RLI bus stop)
09:00 - campus departure (Pendle Avenue)
10:00 (approx.) Arrive at Acorn Bank
13:00 - Back on the coach to travel to Keswick
13:20 – In Keswick
17:00 – Back on the coach to travel home.
19:00 - (approx.) - campus drop off, followed by a drop off in the city
Price includes coach travel. Entry to Crook Hall is via our National Trust Group Membership, and will not cost you anything extra.
Please also note: Ticket sales will remain open until Friday 13th June or until they sell out (whichever is sooner).

NON-STUDENT GUESTS:
Adult guests who are not students are welcome to join the trip with you – their ticket will cost the same amount.
University staff are welcome to join the trip, and bring their partner/children as well – simply purchase additional tickets via the e-store.
CHILDREN:
Children under 2 years old can be carried on a parent’s knee for free on the coach.
Children aged 2 years - 15 years old will pay £18
