Chinese Mandarin Language Beginner 1 Course

| A 10 week Chinese Mandarin language course for all students, staff and general public. There are two classes to choose from: an in-person class on Mondays at 12.15-13.45 at the roundhouse Lancaster University and an online class on Tuesdays at 18.15-19.45, from week beginning 20 April to week beginning 22 June 2026. Please indicate below which class you will choose to attend. |
| For learners with no prior knowledge of Mandarin. Participants will learn basic phonetics and tones and use about 200 words around the following topics: greetings, countries, nationalities, occupations and family members. To make progress during the course you will need to allocate at least 3 hours per week for revision of each class and learning characters. |
