This is a great opportunity to explore part of the Lake District. Grasmere is a charming village situated in the centre of the Lake District within the Westmoreland and Furness district of Cumbria.
Grasmere is famous for its stunning scenery and rich history including literary associations with William Wordsworth and offers plenty of attractions. It also offers a range of cozy pubs, cafes, and shops, where you can sample local delicacies, such as including a visit to the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop (Gingerbread has been baked in the village dating back to 1854) and crafts.
Lake Grasmere is around 1 mile long, half a mile wide and 75 feet deep and is another popular tourist attraction, which Wordsworth described as 'The most loveliest spot than man hath found'.
